New to Club V: Betty Davis

I am head over heals with Betty Davis and her music.  I can't help but to feel sexy and empowered listening to her tracks.  Betty Davis was a 1970's American rock & soul singer.  She was the second wife of legendary Miles Davis and also graced editorial spreads of Seventeen, Ebony and Glamour as a model.  Betty ate men for breakfast and had a major influence on Mile Davis's music.  Ms. Davis was the one who suggested Miles change his album name from "Witches Brew" to "Bitches Brew".

Although her albums were banned from radio due to its sexual content enabling her to break into the mainstream.  Nonetheless, she was still very popular amongst the funk crowd and was used as inspiration during feminist movements of the 80's and 90's.  Betty Davis is a unique woman and I admire her fearlessness.

Check out some of her hits in Club V
