Swap that LBD with a LWD.  A little white dress is tres chic during the summer months.  Trend can be worn day or night, dressed up or down.  During the day opt for simple tank, shirt and tee dresses to achieve an airy relaxed look. Notes: Round frames inspired by John Lennon is a key spring 2011 silhouette. Lady Gaga and Mary Kate Olsen have already been seen wearing this runway trend.  Round frames were spotted at Prada, Armani , Proenza Schouler, Cacharel and Carolina Herrera.

This season they are being offered in a variety of solid and tortoise shells.

Who Should Wear Them: Round glasses look best on those with square and oval shaped faces.

Spring 2011 Shoe Trend: Flatforms

Silhouette: Flatform

Notes: A flatform is what you get when you take a flat shoe/sandal and turn it up a notch, or should I say a few inches.  Flatforms are perfect during the day.  You wouldn't catch me in a pair headed to the club or dinner. They're cute not sexy.  Flatforms were spotted on Vena Cava, Prada and Derek Lam Runways to name a few.  I'm predicting popularity within the 5'5" and under community.

How-To-Wear: Looks great paired with midi skirts,  cropped and bell bottom pants.  Stay away from skinny jeans unless you enjoy being compared to big foot. If you choose a mini skirt, I'd go with a flared mini over skin tight.

Spring Fling: Sleeveless Trench

Notes:  The dual purpose sleeveless trench is the perfect replacement for the shirt dress that we've all had enough of.  

Well, at least I have. 

How-To-Wear:  Sleeveless trenches can be worn alone serving as a dress, pictured above.  Also as a jacket if left unbuttoned paired with bottoms and a top.  Look can be effortlessly transitioned from day to evening.

Accessorize: Wedge, chunky heel, flaform or a strappy sandal will work well with this look.  Preferably pair with a large handbag. Keep jewelry to a minimum if worn as a dress, bracelets and earrings at most.

TREND REPORT: Glitz & Glam

Now that it's officially Christmas Day I'm in a New Years Eve state of mind.   Starting in October there's always an abundance of glitter, sequins and velvet merchandise available.   Your velvet ensembles are not needed after Christmas.  If you own any dark velvet I suggest you open up that drawer and place them in hibernation.  If it's a shoe you can get an extra week in.  New Years Eve is all about Glitz & Glam means shine, shine and more shine.  If you haven't already it's time to find that sequin dress.  For those who are more low key you can still get your shine on by accessorizing with a pair of glitzy shoes and bag.  You can browse through my picks below for some New Years Eve ideas.

Top 3 Must Have Shoes for Fall/Winter 2010

1. CLOG -  Clogs are back in a big way this season, you can find them in the classic mules style or updated versions like a clog booties and boots.  They look best with skinny jeans. As the temperature starts to drop you can still wear the classic style.  Wear socks and pair the classic style with a pair of straight leg jeans that conceals your heal.
2. COMBAT BOOT - Oxfords were all over the place last season and combat boots will be just as huge this fall. They look great with a pair of skinny or straight leg jeans tucked into the boot.  Keeps you looking stylish even on your not so stylish days.
3. OVER THE KNEE BOOT - Over the knee boots are perfect for transitioning you summer short short shorts and dresses into the fall.  During the winter months add a layer of opaque or wool tights to the equation.

What's your favorite color? Try wearing it from head to toe this season. I'm so not a fan of matching but I am tempted to give this trend a try. Normally anything monochromatic is BORING (excuse me while I yawn) however, this season it's looking like whole lot of fun. Designers have used one hue and complied it's different shade, tones and tints into one look. The varying textures, tones and layering is what brings on the excitement. The Fabulous 50's a celebration of women, be proud of your curves.  Small waist and full hips reminiscent of Mad Men wardrobe dominate this fall trend.  Complete the look with a pair long gloves,  thin belt and a boxy purse.

Neutrals dominated the fall 2010 runways.  People tend to shift into wearing dark colors in the fall/winter seasons well this time around its all about lightning up.  Greys are this seasons black and beige/sand/camel are the new whites.
