My Mascara and Eyeliner Routine
BY VANGARDE GIRL NELLE, OCTOBER 12, 2010
People are always drawn to my eyes. I'm always being asked where I get my lashes done. I've even been accused of wearing false lashes by some of the males around me. My reply, its just my mascara. Then the which mascara do you use and how do you apply it questions come rolling in(not from the men but the women, just to clear up any confusion). When it comes to mascara I'm a roamer I have no ties to one particular brand.
Currently applying two brands of mascara on my eyelashes. I start with one coat of Stila Black Diamond Mascara then wait a one minute and apply a second coat. Lastly I apply a third coat with MAC Zoom Lash Mascara. Stila adds thickness to my naturally thin lashes. MAC Zoom Lash was intended to add length; I use it to smooth out any clumps the two coats of Stila may have left behind. The MAC Zoom Lash brush is much narrower and the bristles are closer together than the Stila brush so it makes the perfect finisher. My technique is always to apply multiple coats with a wide brush mascara then clean it up with a narrow brush mascara. When it comes to eyeliner I just buy whatever .99 cents to $1.99 black liner I find in the beauty supply store, nothing fancy. I apply one stroke of eyeliner on my lower lid then go over the stroke from the outer edge to the center of my lower lid. I'm far from a professional make-up artist but I do know what works for me. Stila Black Diamond Mascara is available at Sephora; $24.00 and MAC Zoom Lash Mascara is available at Nordstrom; $14.00
