Angelina in Versace vs. Anne in Armani

Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace; Anne Hathaway in Giorgio Armani

Angelina and Anne sported similar looks to the 68th Annual Golden Globes on January 15, 2011.  Both actresses chose long sleeved structured shoulder floor length gowns, even the hair is in sync with one another.  I was having trouble choosing a favorite while viewing the looks separately .  Now that I've placed both looks side by side my eyes are locked in on Ms. Jolie.  What makes Angelina's gown a winner?

#1 Neckline - The boat neckline is much more flattering than the crew neckline on Anne's gown.

#2 Waistline - Placement of the synched waistline creates an illusion of the ideal hour glass figure and long legs.

#3 Train - The sweeping train brushes the floor adding to the gowns elegance.

#4 Color - Emerald green complements the red carpet creating an eye-catching combination.
