Out With The Old, In With The New

Decided to start 2011 with new weight on my shoulder.  I purchased the Alexander Wang Willow Frame Messenger Bag from uber chic boutique Kirna Zabete in SoHo.  Normally Marc by Marc Jacobs is my go to brand.  Recently came to the realization I've officially out grown their handbag aesthetic.  Well at least for now.  He may surprise me and rekindle the flame.  For the remainder of winter it's me and Mr. Wang.

What I love about this bag...

Size: In an attempt to carry less I recently made the switch to cross body bags. Walking around with a stuffed sausage, wasn't cutting it.  The willow messenger has enough space for my basics and a little extra room for visitors.

Opening: Love, Love, Love the frame clasp closure with leather strap.  It may seem like a hassel to get into but that's exactly what I was looking for.  Having been pick pocketed a while back, location of my new job and daily train conductor thief alerts I'm paranoid.

Handle Options: When I'm not in the mood for the weight on my shoulder I'll be able to utilize the rolled leather handle.

Contrasting Leathers: The body of the bag is constructed with textured leather and components with smooth shiny leather.  Giving the bag that signature Alexander Wang street luxury look.

Studded Base: I'm notorious for placing my bag on the ground.  Although, word around the block is it's bad luck. The studs on the bottom serve as base allowing the bag to stand upright.
