Hemlines Fly South for The Spring

Birds aren't the only ones flying south, hemlines have been gradually headed in the same direction.  Although the maxi is being praised I'm a midi aficionado.  Midi's are skirts and dresses landing anywhere from below the knee to the calf. Marc Jacobs, Parabal Gurung, Armani, Rodarte, Tory Burch and many more designers were in a Midi state of mind for Spring/Summer 2011.  Your options include but are not limited to pencil, a-line, pleated, embellished and printed midi's. Spring Fling: Sleeveless Trench

Notes:  The dual purpose sleeveless trench is the perfect replacement for the shirt dress that we've all had enough of.  

Well, at least I have. 

How-To-Wear:  Sleeveless trenches can be worn alone serving as a dress, pictured above.  Also as a jacket if left unbuttoned paired with bottoms and a top.  Look can be effortlessly transitioned from day to evening.

Accessorize: Wedge, chunky heel, flaform or a strappy sandal will work well with this look.  Preferably pair with a large handbag. Keep jewelry to a minimum if worn as a dress, bracelets and earrings at most.
