Gear Up For Fall: Men's Varsity Jackets

UNDEFEATED (ABOVE) VS. STUSSY (BELOW) 

I usually tend to side with STUSSY merchandise however I will have to pass this time around. The pop of color on the UNDFTD Varsity gives their varsity jacket a little more character.  STUSSY's mundane black and white color story bores in comparisson to UNDFTD's version.  Which ever you chose they are both available on HAVEN.  UNDFTD, $634 USD; STUSSY $610 USD. Both Jackets have wool bodies, leather sleeves, ribbed neck, hem and cuffs. quilted padded lining, snap front buttons, embroidery and multiple patches.  It would've been nice if both brands had the stripes on the collar, cuff and hem.  UNDFTD chose the cuffs and hem while STUSSY only added stripes to the collar.  Don't you hate when you wish you could combine two products.

YSL Manifesto in New York

Yves Saint Laurent ’s Fall/Winter 2010-2011 Manifesto will be making its debut in New York on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Its worldwide release date will be on September 18, 2010. The new manifesto feature model Daria Werbowy and is photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. This will be YSL seventh edition, and is so far highly popularized. The first 2,000 passerby will be given the manifesto along with a custom zippered wristlet, a Stefano Pilati designed. Consistent with Pilati's retro black and white pieces for this season.

1. CLOG -  Clogs are back in a big way this season, you can find them in the classic mules style or updated versions like a clog booties and boots.  They look best with skinny jeans. As the temperature starts to drop you can still wear the classic style.  Wear socks and pair the classic style with a pair of straight leg jeans that conceals your heal.
2. COMBAT BOOT - Oxfords were all over the place last season and combat boots will be just as huge this fall. They look great with a pair of skinny or straight leg jeans tucked into the boot.  Keeps you looking stylish even on your not so stylish days.
3. OVER THE KNEE BOOT - Over the knee boots are perfect for transitioning you summer short short shorts and dresses into the fall.  During the winter months add a layer of opaque or wool tights to the equation.

Two new Rag  & Bone fall 2010 styles are now available at Forward Forward. The fist style is the RB Mallory Boot in black and the second RB Crepe Moc in Dark Brown. Both boots feature a leather upper. The RB Mallory sits on a hard bottom sole while the RB Crepe rests on rubber.  These boots are definitely on trend for this season.

Fall 2010 Missoni X Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi

After a successful Spring 2010 collaboration Missoni and Converse are back at it.  This season two colorways in black and white of the Chuck Taylor All Star Hi will be offered featuring signature "space-dyed" knit Missoni print upper.  The split tongue, back heel pull, top lining and logo on the side are made up of soft sheep red brick leather.  Both sneakers have the Converse logo embossed on the inner sides and Missoni logo embossed on the tongue.  The release date is set for September at Missoni New York and beverly Hills, retailing at $200.00.

Fall 2010 Trend Report: Monochromatic

What's your favorite color? Try wearing it from head to toe this season. I'm so not a fan of matching but I am tempted to give this trend a try. Normally anything monochromatic is BORING (excuse me while I yawn) however, this season it's looking like whole lot of fun. Designers have used one hue and complied it's different shade, tones and tints into one look. The varying textures, tones and layering is what brings on the excitement.
