Fall 2010 Trend Report: Nails

I'm not going into much details with the nail trends since majority of them are dark colors which is expected to happen during the fall season.  Instead I'm highlighting the four trends I fancy the most.

1. Texured- I haven't tried it yet or found anywhere to get something like this done but as soon as I do you'll be the first to know.
2. Classic Red-  What more can I say red nails will always be hot and sexy until the end of time.
3 & 4. Metallic and Half Moon Manicure - these two trends emerged during Spring 2010 and have managed to stay well and alive to make a cross over into fall.
In regards to shape I've always been a square type of gal however as of late the round nails have become appealing. One thing I'll never be into (let me knock on wood) is long nails, I like 'em short and sweet.

Men's Fall 2010 TREND: Toggle Coats

Does this trend ever get old?. . .Never, it's Forever. 

The toggle coat is a staple in menswear that's not going anywhere no time soon.  It's a timeless classic.  Toggle coats are easy to fasten and usually have a large hood, quilted lining and made out of wool.  Toggle coats are for casual looks they do not go well with formal attire.  Pair this coat with a pair of jeans or dark khaki's this fall.

If your toggle coat is a light color like brown, beige or tan pair them with a pair of dark denim jeans.  Navy or dark colored toggle coats look great with a lighter pair of denim. You can add some flair to this classic look by purchasing a plaid toggle like the French Connection Toggle pictured on the left.  Ralph Lauren usually releases a toggle coat every fall.  If you can't afford the designer prices, affordable styles are available.

Fall 2010 Trend Report: Monochromatic

What's your favorite color? Try wearing it from head to toe this season. I'm so not a fan of matching but I am tempted to give this trend a try. Normally anything monochromatic is BORING (excuse me while I yawn) however, this season it's looking like whole lot of fun. Designers have used one hue and complied it's different shade, tones and tints into one look. The varying textures, tones and layering is what brings on the excitement. Fall 2010 Trend Report: Mad Men

The Fabulous 50's a celebration of women, be proud of your curves.  Small waist and full hips reminiscent of Mad Men wardrobe dominate this fall trend.  Complete the look with a pair long gloves,  thin belt and a boxy purse.

Neutrals dominated the fall 2010 runways.  People tend to shift into wearing dark colors in the fall/winter seasons well this time around its all about lightning up.  Greys are this seasons black and beige/sand/camel are the new whites.

Fall 2010 Trend Report: Little Miss Riding Hood

Im so excited about the cape...I purchased a navy wool cape in 2008.  I remember people staring at me strange and my classmates at the time would ask me if I was planning on taking a trip to Paris.  Well look at what has emerged on the catwalks and coming to a retailer near you, it's the one...the only cape.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, I know its not even September yet, it's still hot outside and you are not thinking about fall.  Oh well, whether you like it or not  fall merchandise has now begun hitting the sales floors of all retailers. If you are looking to invest in outerwear this season I would suggest the shearling.   This classic has re-surfaced in a variety of thin and voluminous silhouettes.  You can choose from shearling vests, jackets and coats in short and long lengths.  The fur in a shearling jacket is short and soft making it the perfect choice fall and winter.
