John Forte is back!

John Forte is back in the scene making headlines and this time its to perform at Nanette Lepore's Spring 2011 fashion show at Fashion Week. This is most definitely a collaboration to be seen. Forte will be performing 3 songs with a live band while the models come down the runway. Forte is currently working on a memoir, his new upcoming album entitled, Water Light Sound, and has other ventures in the works. If you don't want to miss Forte's performance and the Nanette Lepore Spring 2011 show there will be a live stream at nanettelepore.com on September 15 at 11 a.m.

Iman has done it again!

I guess you have to start somewhere to go somewhere. And my current Shero aside from my mother would have to be Iman. She is unstoppably, a model, cosmetics owner, to having her own clothing and jewelry line Global Chic, and she is also a tv host for Bravo TV fashion designs show. Now she can add another title to her resume Home Designs. Iman Home along with PK lifestyles will debut the end of this month but thats not all there will be a preview during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center-NY.

Swarovski Sponsors 12 Shows for Spring 2011

Swarovski released it will be sponsoring a long list of designers during this years Spring 2011 Fashion Week.


The Designers are:

Parabal Gurung
Juan Carlos Obando
Erdem
GILES
Marios Schwab
Richard Nicoll
Mark Fast
JW Anderson
Holly Fulton
Henry Holland
Micheal van der Ham
Louise Goldin

Upside: Swarovski will provide these designers with an ample amount of financial support.  This is awesome since producing fashion shows are a major expense which has caused many up and coming designers to go out of business.

Downside: Incorporation of the Swarovski crystals in their designs is a must.  For some designers it will be easy but for other crystals are not an embellishment which coincides with their brand aesthetic.

Congratulation to all the designers, I am curious to see how they incorporate the crystals.  Creative minds are a beautiful...
