LIPSTICK AND NAIL POLISH - A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN

BY VANGARDE GIRL TIFFANY, DECEMBER 30, 2010

There is something so sexy about a woman who matches her lipstick to her nail polish. Call me old-fashioned but I am a huge fan of this. I know what you are thinking, “What fashionista really has the time to pull this look off?” Well, perhaps it’s the impractical nature of it all that makes this look so alluring. It simply looks put together in a “I took the time to coordinate” way.

I'm sure straight-laced fashionistas have already given this one a go. Now, if you are in the category of: "colorful Diva/Divo with an uber-daring fashion sense;" balance your ensembles by giving this look a try. It shows the world, “I might dress a bit eccentrically, but hey, I’ve still got my ish together.”

BIG BTW: Go unconventional (Chanel; above) or traditional (Amber Rose; right); but please include your toes in the matching process and strategize a plan of attack for God’s sake! There is nothing more distracting than RED lips, PURPLE fingernails, and YELLOW toenails.

Quiver…

Corporate Mondays

BY VANGARDE GIRL NELLE, NOVEMBER 21, 2010

Monday's are meeting days at work.  This will be my first Monday attending the merchandise meeting so I opted for a neutral color.  You know tone it down a bit.  The fire engine red I wanted to apply this weekend can wait till Wednesday.  The color I used was Brucci Nail Hardener # 412 Christopher Street.  I wonder why such a bland color was named Christopher Street, maybe it's not the fun exciting Christopher Street I hang out on in NYC during the summer.*shoulder shrug*  I need my cuticles maintained next weekend.

HAPPY NAILS

BY VANGARDE GIRL NELLE, NOVEMBER 10, 2010
Today I went into Rite-Aid and purchased $30.00 worth of nail polish.  Ever since I tried out the leopard print manicure last month I've been polish crazy.  I forgot how something so simple as changing your polish color can brighten up your day.  My birthday is approximately a month away I wanted to start the countdown today so I painted my nails with a confetti polish.  LET THE CELEBRATION BEGIN :) I started with a base coat of a navy polish then topped it with Sinful Colors Nail Junkie 927.
