YSL Belle D'Opium- TV ad Banned

After hearing that Yves Saint Laurent Belle D'Opium fragrance commercial was banned in the UK for the actress, Melanie Thierry, dancing suggesting drug use, I had to watch it. I believe that observation is totally ludicrous, there is nothing that suggest the notion of drug abuse. I had to watch it more than once because I still didn't see it.

Do you think that this ad is ban worthy?

I'm loving the dramatic differences in the two looks previewed, from sassy to classy...just like there are two side two every coin there are two side to every woman. The word manifesto derives from the Latin word manifestum, meaning clear or conspicuous.  In this case the previewed looks were both clear and conspicuous.  The looks on Daria definitely attracts attention although having such clean lines and minimalistic aesthetic.  Can't wait to see the full campaign video.

YSL Manifesto in New York

Yves Saint Laurent ’s Fall/Winter 2010-2011 Manifesto will be making its debut in New York on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Its worldwide release date will be on September 18, 2010. The new manifesto feature model Daria Werbowy and is photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. This will be YSL seventh edition, and is so far highly popularized. The first 2,000 passerby will be given the manifesto along with a custom zippered wristlet, a Stefano Pilati designed. Consistent with Pilati's retro black and white pieces for this season.
