Macy’s launches “Material Girl” by Madonna and her daughter Lola at Herald Square with a special appearance by celebrity muse, Taylor Momsen.

WHAT:
Macy’s rolls out the “pink carpet” for Material girls everywhere to be one of the first to shop the bold fashion and accessories from the brand new “Material Girl” collection by Madonna and daughter Lola.

The first 200 customers to line up at the Macy’s Herald Square main Broadway entrance at 10 AM will receive a free bandeau top from the “Material Girl” collection and a $10 gift card valid only on August 3.

Shoppers are encouraged to arrive dressed in their Madonna best at Macy’s between 10 AM and 11 AM for a chance to win a t-shirt signed by Madonna.

The celebration continues later that evening with a special appearance and live performance by actress and singer, Taylor Momsen!

Shoppers who make a $50 “Material Girl” purchase will have the opportunity to meet and have their photo taken with Taylor.

Madonna's Material Girl Collection will debut at Macy's Herald Square on August 3, 2010. The collection includes apparel, handbags, jewelry, footwear and hair accessories. The collection blends modern day trends with the nostalgic flair of the 1980's. There is something about the 80's, the fashion world refuses to leave it behind. Based on the previews major trends in the collection are plaid, leather, silver jewelry, sequence, crop tops and studded details from apparel to jewelry. The line is very affordable with jewelry at $12.00, $18.00 crop tops and $32.00 band jackets. If you have any experience trying to attain pieces from Target and H&M designer collections then I probably don't need to tell you time is of the essence. With collections of this nature, it's you snooze you loose.
